Civil works
From trench excavation to final backfill
Louvix delivers the complete civil scope supporting heavy cable installation, including cable trenching, sanding, conduit installation, protection systems, survey coordination, compaction testing and backfilling.
Our capability also includes PCU and BESS pad preparation and CCTV installation, alongside associated project infrastructure.
Heavy cable laying & installation
Controlled production, high-volume delivery
We lay direct-buried MV and HV cables, LV, DC solar, fibre-optic and earth cables from large drums, using purpose-designed equipment. Our methodology is designed to minimise handling, rework and cable damage.
From MV collector networks on utility-scale renewable energy projects and BESS to HV cables up to 132 kV on mines, gas plants and infrastructure, Louvix delivers cable installation across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, the Northern Territory and the ACT.

Cable installation can be undertaken with two operators under the approved methodology.
No personnel positioned around moving cable or rotating drums.
Continuous coordination between operators.
Loss of communication stops vehicle movement and hydraulic functions.
Above-ground electrical works
Installed, dressed and ready to connect
Louvix delivers above-ground electrical works including DCBs, inverters, auxiliary-services equipment and weather-station interfaces.
We also handle cable looming, dressing and preparation for safe termination and connection, along with any other above-ground work the project requires.
Testing & cold commissioning
Every circuit confirmed before energisation
We carry out electrical testing and cold commissioning to confirm that every circuit is safe, compliant and ready to be energised.
Our capabilities include insulation-resistance, continuity, VLF, protection-relay and IV-curve testing, delivered in accordance with the contracted scope and project requirements.
Quality assurance & handover

Our QA team develops and maintains project-specific ITPs, ITCs, inspection records and photographic reports.
A streamlined QA process keeps completed works visible, documentation traceable and client review and sign-off efficient.
Wet & dry hire
Our specialised fleet, available for your project
Access the same purpose-built plant we use on our own projects, with or without an experienced Louvix operator.
